She worked as a trainee under Senior Editor of Anandabazaar Patrika. She was Assistant teacher at Ashok Hall Girls' Higher Secondary School where she looked after the personality development of the students. She worked as an Assistant Professor at Basanti Devi College in Kolkata. 

She presented research papers, conveyed memorial lectures, and attended symposia in 16 national and 6 international Conferences and seminars. She is an active social worker and headed her own NGO in Kolkata. She is an outstanding debater and has immense knowledge of soft development skills and aids.
