Academic training formed an integral part of the BDA curriculum since its commencement. Brig. Ajay Pati Tripathi, the man at helm, was instrumental in establishing and introducing academic training at BDA in the true revolutionary spirit, against daunting odds. The syllabus was formulated by taking the immense care of students’ capacity and need of the competition. Students have a golden opportunity to complete their Bachelor Degree from IASE (Deemed To Be) University along with their viable training. The syllabus underwent modifications and amendments from time to time incorporating current trends and requirements.

The Education Branch of BDA is responsible for conduct of all activities related to academic training of students which constitutes 60% of the structured training curriculum till lunch time (12 p.m.). Especially a Teacher Trainer is appointed to look after the academics of the students on a daily basis. He is guided by Brig. Ajay Pati Tripathi for planning, conduct and monitoring of all aspects pertaining to the course.

At BDA, we know, academic quality is a precondition for continued trainability.  Academic instruction is imparted by qualified, highly motivated and experienced instructors who are masters in teaching defense competitive examination. The aim is to achieve academic excellence without compromising outdoor training.

Today it is a knowledge century, BDA has always promoted technology oriented; inventive learning processes, to hone the skills of the students, develop their spirit of enquiry, rational reasoning, analytical abilities, and creative thinking. The prime objective is to sharpen the analytical abilities of the students that will make them capable of taking well informed decisions in a short span of time.

Recent innovations includes the renovation of Central Library, construction of new academic building for academic training, modification of physical training ground/arena, modernization of classrooms, e-learning resources and study materials, and smart classroom concept all throughout.
